Cytosine arabinoside with daunorubicin or adriamycin for therapy of acute myelocytic leukemia: a CALGB study
Jerome W. Yates,Oliver Glidewell,Peter H. Wiernik,Cooper,David M. Steinberg,Harvey Dosik,Ronald Levy,C Hoagland,Patrick H. Henry,Arlan J. Gottlieb,Cornelius J. Cornell,Jeffrey L. Berenberg,JL Hutchison,P Raich,Nis I. Nissen,R R Ellison,R Frelick,GW James,Geoffrey Falkson,Richard T. Silver,Farid Haurani,Mark R. Green,Edward S. Henderson,Louis A. Leone,James F. Holland +24 more
TL;DR: The duration of complete remission, with cyclic courses of maintenance therapy, was independent of the patient's age, the dose, or choice of anthracycline used in induction, and of whether the maintenance courses were given every 4 wk or every 8 wk.

A nondefective (competent) adenovirus-sv40 hybrid isolated from the ad.2-sv40 hybrid population
TL;DR: A new nondefective hybrid virus has been plaque-isolated from the Ad.2-SV40 hybrid population and induces an SV40 specific antigen which is detectable by immunofluorescence and complement-fixation using sera from SV40 tumor-bearing hamsters, and produces SV40-specific RNA detectable by DNA-RNA hybridization.

Transformation of primary rat embryo cells by adenovirus type 2.
Aaron E. Freeman,Paul H. Black,Eustace A. Vanderpool,Patrick H. Henry,Joan B. Austin,Robert J. Huebner +5 more
TL;DR: Evidence is presented of transformation of rat embryo cells by adenovirus type 2 (AD-2) and the use of low calcium medium permitted more reproducible quantitation of the transformation event in rat cells and facilitated the derivation of transformed cell lines.

Studies of Nondefective Adenovirus 2-Simian Virus 40 Hybrid Viruses V. Isolation of Additional Hybrids Which Differ in Their Simian Virus 40-Specific Biological Properties
Andrew M. Lewis,Arthur S. Levine,Clyde S. Crumpacker,Myron J. Levin,Richard J. Samaha,Patrick H. Henry +5 more
TL;DR: Four new nondefective adenovirus 2 (Ad2)-simian virus 40 (SV40) hybrid viruses have been isolated and the induction of different SV40-specific functions suggests the incorporation of different segments of SV40 DNA within the genomes of the respective hybrid viruses.

Transformation of primary rat embryo ceils by adenovirus type 2
Aaron E. Freeman,Paul H. Black,Eustace A. Vanderpool,Patrick H. Henry,Joan B. Austin,Robert J. HUEBNERt +5 more
- 01 Jan 2016
TL;DR: In this paper, a low-calcium medium was used to transform rat embryo cells with adenovirus type 2 (AD-2) and Ad-3 (Ad-3) antigens.
