Intraoperative radiotherapy given as a boost after breast-conserving surgery in breast cancer patients.
Roland Reitsamer,Florentia Peintinger,Felix Sedlmayer,M. Kopp,C. Menzel,W. Cimpoca,S. Glueck,H. Rahim,Peter Kopp,Heinz Deutschmann,Florian Merz,M. Brandis,H.D. Kogelnik +12 more
TL;DR: Preliminary data suggest that IORT given as a boost after breast-conserving surgery could be a reliable alternative to conventional postoperative fractionated boost radiation by accurate dose delivery and avoiding geographical misses, by enabling smaller treatment volumes and complete skin-sparing and by reducing postoperative radiation time by 7-14 days.

Intraoperative Electron Radiotherapy (IOERT) in the Treatment of Primary Breast Cancer.
Julia Kaiser,Roland Reitsamer,Peter Kopp,Christoph Gaisberger,M. Kopp,Thorsten Fischer,Franz Zehentmayr,Felix Sedlmayer,Gerd Fastner +8 more
TL;DR: IOERT has been shown to be advantageous for several reasons: Geographic misses are avoided due to direct visualization of the tumor bed; thus, a high single dose is delivered with utmost precision to small volumes, completely sparing the skin and ensuring good long-term cosmetic outcome.
Postoperative chemoradiotherapy with cisplatin is superior to radioimmunotherapy with cetuximab and radiotherapy alone : Analysis of the Austrian head and neck cancer registry of the AGMT.
Teresa Magnes,Sandro M. Wagner,Thomas Melchardt,Lukas Weiss,Gabriel Rinnerthaler,Florian Huemer,M. Kopp,Simon Peter Gampenrieder,Beate Mayrbäurl,Thorsten Füreder,Daniel Lenger,Johannes Andel,Alexander Egle,Richard Greil +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors compared postoperative chemoradiotherapy with cisplatin to radioimmunotherapy with cetuximab and radiotherapy alone within the Austrian head and neck cancer registry.
Safe application of extensive radiotherapy to a cardiac resynchronization device.
Christiana Schernthaner,M. Kopp,K. Dagn,Lukas Rettenbacher,Lukas Weiss,Damian Meyersburg,Mathias-Christoph Brandt,Uta C. Hoppe,Bernhard Strohmer +8 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that high‐dose RT near to a cardiac resynchronization therapy device can be carried out safely and large‐scale studies are needed for the true frequency of adverse events.
