Characterization of HSCD5, a novel human stearoyl-CoA desaturase unique to primates.
TL;DR: It is reported that the previously reported human ACOD4 gene encodes a distinct stearoyl-CoA desaturase, hSCD5, which is abundantly expressed in adult brain and pancreas and plays a role distinct from that of h SCD1 during development and in normal physiological conditions.

Role of Ubiquitination in PCSK9-mediated Low-Density Lipoprotein Receptor Degradation
TL;DR: It is shown that PCSK9 treatment can lead to ubiquitination of LDLR, which was enhanced in the presence of proteasome inhibitor MG132, and LDLR protein carrying mutations in the C-terminal Ubiquitination sites was resistant to PCSK 9-mediated degradation.
