TL;DR: Lowering adenosine and 2′-deoxyadenosine levels using ADA enzyme therapy decreased the pulmonary eosinophilia and resolved many of the lung histopathologies, suggesting that disturbances in purinergic signaling mediate the lung inflammation and damage seen in ADA-deficient mice.
