Abstract: This paper describes Ethernet passive optical networks. Ethernet passive optical network is an emerging local subscriber access architecture that combines low-cost point-to-multipoint fiber infrastructure with Ethernet. EPONs are designed to carry Ethernet frames at standard Ethernet rates. An EPON uses a single trunk fiber that extends from a central office to a passive optical splitter, which then fans out to multiple optical drop fibers connected to subscriber nodes. Other than the end terminating equipment, no component in the network requires electrical power, hence the term passive. Local carriers have long been interested in passive optical networks for the benefits they offer: minimal fiber infrastructure and no powering requirement in the outside plant. With Ethernet now emerging as the protocol of choice for carrying IP traffic in metro and access networks, EPON has emerged as a potential optimized architecture for fiber to the building and fiber to the home.
TL;DR: Simulation result shows that soft handover lead to smooth transition with less delay and losses in MPLS domain, and suggests utilizing Bandwidth Agent to coordinate and facilitate the handover.
Abstract: Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) is a core networking Quality of service architecture that basically operates in between Layers 2 and 3 of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model; for this reason, MPLS has been referred to as operating at Layer 2.5. MPLS provides its users a number of advantageous features for instance guarantee Quality of Service (QoS), failure protection,. MPLS networks along with Traffic engineering enable load balancing all over the network by explicitly mapping the traffics into TE tunnel that use pre-specified route, which may be not shorted path, MPLS protocol was developed without having mobility in mind. MPLS features and benefits could be extended to support Mobile Nodes. This paper presents study of handover in MPLS domain. It suggests utilizing Bandwidth Agent to coordinate and facilitate the handover. Two scenarios were considered hard handover and soft handover. Simulation result shows that soft handover lead to smooth transition with less delay and losses

Abstract: It is found that the widely applied transmission method is RS485 with its disadvantages of limited control scale and multifarious circuitry according to the research on various traditional access control systems used nowadaysTo build up a large-scale and domain-crossed modular access control system,a distributed and intelligent access control system based on Ethernet is excogitatedThis new system integrates Ethernet technology with traditional access control systems and adopts the idea of the hardware/software collaborative designProved by practice, remote access control is achieved by the new large-scale control system which makes use of the existing ad-vanced network without rebuilding the netMeanwhile, the general structure of the system and the principle of each part are also introduced in detail

Abstract: It describes the improved development status of industrial Ethernet, then it not only makes the detailed analysis about the Ethernet/IP protocol model, its "producer/consumer" communication mode and the CIP message communication mechanism which is facing the"link",but also points out the advantage of Ethernet/IP network application in industrial control.Simultaneously,it advances the method of Ethernet/IP network composition and communication settings of the Ethernet/IP network in the expressway tunnel. It successfully achieved a good monitoring in the expressway tunnel by using the Ethernet/IP network.
