Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video recording device reducing the possibility that a broadcast program is automatically deleted against the user's intent.SOLUTION: A television 1 in this invention includes a deletion date setting part 51 for setting a date on which a content video-recorded in an HD drive 121 is deleted, an automatic deletion control part 54 for deleting the content from the HD drive 121 on the deletion date set by the deletion date setting part 51, and a UI control part 52 for displaying on an LCD 110 the deletion date set by the deletion date setting part 51 or the remaining period until the deletion date and the content title in such a manner that they are associated with each other.

TL;DR: In this paper, a broadcast receiver pertaining to one embodiment of the present invention records, in a storage device, a program received via a broadcast signal, the broadcast receiver being provided with: a receiving unit for receiving the broadcast signal; an ordinary recording unit for recording, in the storage device; a program corresponding to preset automatic recording conditions among programs received via the broadcast signals as an automatically recorded program; and an automatic recording control unit for limiting a capacity used for the recording of the automatically recorded programs by percentage relative to the total capacity of the recording device.
