Abstract: The utility model discloses a variable rocker arm which is applied to a variable valve in an internal combustion engine. The variable rocker arm comprises a rocker arm body and a roller mechanism, wherein a movable arm is arranged in the rocker arm body, and one end of the movable arm is connected with the rocker arm body through a rotating pin. The roller mechanism is installed in the movable arm. An elastic assembly is further arranged between the bottom of the movable arm and the rocker arm body. The elastic assembly is located between the rotating pin and the roller mechanism. A locking mechanism is further arranged on the rocker arm body. A locking groove is formed in the movable arm. The locking mechanism can be connected with the locking groove in a clamped mode. The movable arm and the rocker arm body are locked or unlocked through the locking mechanism, and therefore the valve can be switched between high lift and low lift; in other words, the locking mechanism is switched between the startup state and the shutdown state according to the requirements of the internal combustion engine for different control strategies, and therefore different magnitudes of lift of the valve can be achieved.
