Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shading correction circuit capable of eliminating a measurement error due to the variations in measuring environment conditions in real time SOLUTION: In shading correction for correcting the aberration of picked-up video signals, a luminance level average value of the video signals obtained from imaging devices is measured for each field or each frame, a luminance level average value of the next field or frame is predicted on the basis of the data of the measured luminance level average value, fluctuations from the reference luminance level average value are calculated, a shading correction signal is corrected so that the fluctuations are canceled, and shading correction is conducted in real time on the basis of the corrected shading correction signal COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI

- 07 Feb 2012
TL;DR: In this paper, an image processing device comprises: analysis mean that performs filter processing for extracting regularity in temporal changes in luminance using luminance between frames in input video; correction means that, with respect to luminance of each frame, corrects a value subjected to the filter processing by the analysis means so that the distribution of luminance values in each frame becomes a target distribution; overlapping means that overlaps a plurality of frames whose luminance is corrected by the correction means.
