Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the outside diameter of a cylindrical metal case to the utmost, in a rotation sensor of a type composed by housing, in the cylindrical metal case, a board with a permanent magnet, a Hall IC, and electronic components for controlling the Hall IC mounted. SOLUTION: The terminals 5 of the Hall IC 2 are fixed to a holder 7 in advance, thereafter, when the holder 7 is housed in the cylindrical metal case, the board 1 is fixed to the holder 7 so that the center surface in the thickness direction of the board 1 is set at a position passing the center of the cylinder of the metal case 6, and thereafter, the terminals of the Hall IC are fixed to a circuit formed on the board 1.
