Abstract: To improve the convenience of an optical code that records an electronic signature.SOLUTION: It is possible to identify a creator's public key certificate including a message, an electronic signature created from the message using a creator's private key, and a public key paired with the private key to record a small public key ID smaller than the public key certificate on the optical code. Then, when an optical code reading authentication device 26 reads the optical code, the author's public key certificate is obtained from a certificate providing server 23 on the basis of the recorded public key ID, and it is configured such that the optical code can be authenticated using the public key certificate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
