Abstract: A method to be performed in a process of a computer system initiating physical operations includes receiving, in a computer system, a request to generate a first object and a second object. The first object is to be used in initiating a manufacturing-type operation and the second object is to be used in initiating a warehouse-type operation. The method includes generating the first object and the second object in response to the request. The first and second objects are generated using an object model for physical operations. A computer system includes a first resource and a second resource, and an object generating module configured to generate the first and second objects.

Generating planning-level time and capacity requirement formulas for manufacturing processes
Jochen Steinbach,Jaakob Kind +1 more
- 21 Dec 2006
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a linear approximation of an overall time duration measure for a defined manufacturing process planning operation, which is a sum of time components comprising at least a calculated measure for the longest of the multiple execution operations for the received production demand, and a fixed time duration for one send-ahead quantity for each of the execution operations that is not the longest.

Planning granularity in manufacturing computing systems
Jochen Steinbach
- 14 Mar 2006
TL;DR: In this article, a user-defined grouping of multiple execution-level manufacturing entities (for example, operations and resources) that are defined in a manufacturing process execution level electronic data model is designed for use with a computer-implemented method used in executing the manufacturing process to produce product.

Data source binding using an odata model
Klaus Deissner,Christoph Scheiber +1 more
- 14 Nov 2014
TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe methods, systems, and computer program products for providing pattern-based data source binding in OData services, and present a design-time computer-implemented method that includes receiving an OData request from a requestor, traversing, by a computer, a rule table to determine whether an exact match for the received OData requests exists in the rule table.
