Imaging method and apparatus using shear waves
Gabriel Montaldo,Jeremy Bercoff,Michael Tanter,Mathias Fink +3 more
- 20 Apr 2010
TL;DR: In this paper, an imaging method using elastic shear waves for observing a viscoelastic medium was proposed, comprising of several successive excitation steps j during which elastic shears are generated respectively at different excitation loci (Lj) by an imaging device, the different loci being separated from one another by a maximum distance Dm, and an averaging step in which raw images corresponding to the same relative time tk are averaged to determine an average image Im' (tk).
