A Chromosome Atlas of the Collective Genus Rumex
Áskell Löve,Brij M. Kapoor +1 more
TL;DR: The amazing variability of the inner perianth segments, or valves, of the fruit has been found to be of an utmost importance for the grouping of the genus into taxa at all lower levels, and there seem valid reasons to believe that they are of an evolutionary significance and, thus, may form a valuable basis for the natural classification of the species of this variable genus.

Second meiotic division restitution (SDR) 2n pollen formation in diploid and hexaploid species of Asparagus
TL;DR: The high frequency of plants which produced 2n pollen in significant amounts is taken as an indication that the modified meiosis observed is under genetic control.

- 01 Jan 1971
TL;DR: In this article, the Entwicklung der Verwandtschaftsforschung an Samenpflanzen in den Berichtsjahren 1969-1970 wird am besten ersichtlich aus den “Abstracts” und “Proceedings” des XI. Internationalen Botanischen Kongresses, Seattle 1969, aus Symposiumberichten uber Biosystematik (EHRENDORFER, 1; Taxon 20, 3-130, 1971), aus Ubers

Cytological Mechanism of 2n Microscope Formation in Garden Asparagus
TL;DR: Microsporogenesis was studied in 42 randomly chosen F 2 plants of garden asparagus (Asparagus officinalis L. cv. UC 157) that had been previously screened for production of pollen of heterogeneous size.
Cytogenetical relationships between Rumex tuberosus, R. thyrsiflorus and R. acetosa and occurrence of polyploidy among their hybrids
TL;DR: It is concluded from the analysis performed that R. tuberosus, R. acetosa and R. thyrsiflorus are separate species, closely related to one another but already isolated by genetic and ecological barriers.
