Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction machine having distributed controllers, having the capability of diagnosing a failure using a simple method. SOLUTION: This construction machine equipped with distributed controllers has a detection means for detecting the attitude or the like of work mechanism, a plurality of input controllers 200 with transmission means for preparing and transmitting input data on the basis of detected data, a main controller 100 for receiving input data and computing a control target value on the basis of computed data for transmission, a plurality of output controllers 300 for receiving computed data and sending output data to actuate a drive part on the basis of computed data, a transmission route 10 across each controller. In this case, the main controller 100 monitors transmission data from input and output controllers 200 and 300 over the prescribed time, and makes judgement about the failure of any of the input and output controllers 200 and 300 unable to transmit data, and the result of the judgement is sent to the controller 200 or 300 free from a failure.
