Abstract: PURPOSE:To appropriately reproduce a color even if paper except for exclusive paper is used, to suppress the difference of the color by paper and that by the state of environment to a mimimum and to always obtain an output picture having the less visual difference of the color. CONSTITUTION:Color information of default is read into CPU (401), and the color information parameter is set (402). A color reproduction processing is executed on a test chart (403), and the test chart is printed on a blank part (to the degree of first one or two lines to be discharged) in 404. The chart is image-picked up (405), and the color is corrected based on the data (406). Picture data transmitted from a host computer is color-reproduced (407), and the picture is printed in 408.
