TL;DR: In this paper, the authors demystify the acronyms in this domain, describe the state-of-theart technology, and argue that BPM could benefit from formal methods/languages (cf. Petri nets, process algebras, etc.).
Abstract: Business Process Management (BPM) includes methods, techniques, and tools to support the design, enactment, management, and analysis of operational business processes. It can be considered as an extension of classical Workflow Management (WFM) systems and approaches. Although the practical relevance of BPM is undisputed, a clear definition of BPM and related acronyms such as BAM, BPA, and STP are missing. Moreover, a clear scientific foundation is missing. In this paper, we try to demystify the acronyms in this domain, describe the state-of-the-art technology, and argue that BPM could benefit from formal methods/languages (cf. Petri nets, process algebras, etc.).

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used green tea leaves as a waste material for the removal of chromium(VI) from industrial effluents and found that the percentage efficiency of removal was up to 99% under optimum conditions, while the extent of adsorption decreases with the increase in temperature.
Abstract: Chromium(VI) has been found to be one of the toxic metals present in water obtained from industrial effluents. This study deals with the removal of Cr(VI) using used green tea leaves, which is a waste material. The sorption of Cr(VI) was carried out by using a batch method, and its concentration was determined using an ultraviolet visible spectrophotometer at 540 nm. Parameters such as pH, mass of adsorbate, concentration of adsorbent, time of contact, and temperature were optimized. It was observed that, under optimum conditions, the percentage efficiency of removal of Cr(VI) was up to 99%. Adsorption studies were carried out using Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption isotherms. The values of ΔG, ΔH, and ΔS were also calculated, which showed that the process is spontaneous and the extent of adsorption decreases with the increase in temperature. The kinetic studies were carried out, and it was found that the reactions followed pseudo-second-order kinetics. This technique can be used for the removal of Cr(VI) from water obtained from industries, which have chromium as one of the main pollutants in their effluents.

TL;DR: A new indigenous low cost Ε-Baby Cradle that swings automatically when baby cries is presented, for this it has a cry analysing system which detects the baby cry voice and accordingly the cradle swings till the baby stops crying.
Abstract: There is a need to develop a new low cost indigenous electronic cradle because the existing cradles are imported and costly. This paper presents the design and implementation of a new indigenous low cost E-Baby Cradle that swings automatically when baby cries, for this it has a cry analysing system which detects the baby cry voice and accordingly the cradle swings till the baby stops crying. The speed of the cradle can be controlled as per the user need. The system has inbuilt alarm that indicates the condition — when baby does not stop crying with in a stipulated time, which intimated that baby needs attention. This system helps parents and nurses to take care of babies without physical attention by already recorded voice input to FN-M16P model and at this same time Cradle also moves according to the user need.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors identify and analyze the topics and research methods applied in management accounting studies in Spain and Brazil, and explain how these studies are important to further developing the field of management accounting; and compare them with studies conducted by Hesford, Lee, Van Der Stede, and Young (2007) with respect to articles published in English-language journals.
Abstract: In recent decades, management accounting has undergone major changes with the inclusion of new topics and research methods, dedicated journals, and especially multidisciplinary studies. These changes have been detected in articles published in leading journals. In this context, the following research question arises: what is the profile of management accounting research in Spain and Brazil? Thus, the objective of this study is to identify and analyze the topics and research methods applied in management accounting studies in Spain and Brazil; to explain how these studies are important to further developing the field of management accounting; and to compare them with studies conducted by Hesford, Lee, Van Der Stede, and Young (2007) with respect to articles published in English-language journals. We first selected seven Spanish accounting journals listed in the IN-RECS database (Índice de Impacto de Revistas Españolas de Ciencias Sociales) [Impact Factor of Spanish Social Science Journals] and found 421 articles published between 2001 and 2010. Second, we found 321 articles by selecting 29 Brazilian accounting, administration, management, finance, and business journals evaluated by Brazilian Federal Agency for the Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education (CAPES – Coordenação de Aperfeiçcoamento de Pessoal de Nivel Superior). The results show that management accounting studies have not figured prominently in the articles that were reviewed. Planning and control are among the most important subjects that emphasize performance measurement and evaluation. The existing studies are largely focused on case studies and surveys in Brazil as well as case studies and reviews in Spain.

TL;DR: In this paper, a novel intermediate data partition scheme is proposed to reduce network traffic cost for a Map Reduce job by designing a novel inter-data partition scheme and jointly considering the aggregator placement problem, where each aggregator can reduce merged traffic from multiple map tasks.
Abstract: The Map Reduce programming model simplifies large-scale data processing on commodity cluster by exploiting parallel map tasks and reduce tasks. Although many efforts have been made to improve the performance of Map Reduce jobs, they ignore the network traffic generated in the shuffle phase, which plays a critical role in performance enhancement. Traditionally, a hash function is used to partition intermediate data among reduce tasks, which, however, is not traffic-efficient because network topology and data size associated with each key are not taken into consideration. In this paper, we study to reduce network traffic cost for a Map Reduce job by designing a novel intermediate data partition scheme. Furthermore, we jointly consider the aggregator placement problem, where each aggregator can reduce merged traffic from multiple map tasks. A decomposition-based distributed algorithm is proposed to deal with the large-scale optimization problem for big data application and an online algorithm is also designed to adjust data partition and aggregation in a dynamic manner. Abstract: Duplication of data in storage systems is becoming increasingly common problem. The system introduces I/O Deduplication, a storage optimization that utilizes content similarity for improving I/O performance by eliminating I/O operations and reducing the mechanical delays during I/O operations and shares data with existing users if Deduplication found on the client or server side. I/O Deduplication consists of three main techniques: content-based caching, dynamic replica retrieval and selective duplication. Each of these techniques is motivated by our observations with I/O workload traces obtained from actively-used production storage systems, all of which revealed surprisingly high levels of content similarity for both stored and accessed data.

TL;DR: Endodontic cases resistant to routine intracanal medicaments should be treated with alternative medicaments which act against a wider spectrum of microorganisms, before opting for surgical procedures, especially while treating paediatric patients.
Abstract: IntroductionThe aim of this study is to report the management of large periapical lesion using triple antibiotic paste as an alternative intra-canal medicament in nonsurgical endodontic treatment. Case reportan 11 year old male patient with large periapical lesion in mandibular anterior region, treated using conservative non-surgical endodontic treatment. Calcium hydroxide-iodoform paste (VitapexTM) was used as an intracanal medicament, which did not lead to resolution of symptoms. Hence, triple antibiotic paste was used as an alternative intracanal medicament for 2 weeks. Obturation was completed with Nanohybrid composite as final restoration. Progressive healing was observed at subsequent follow up examinations, with almost complete resolution of the periapical lesion at 18 months. ConclusionEndodontic cases resistant to routine intracanal medicaments should be treated with alternative medicaments which act against a wider spectrum of microorganisms, before opting for surgical procedures, especially while treating paediatric patients. TL;DR: A novel patient-centric framework and a suite of mechanisms for data access control to PHRs stored in semi trusted servers are proposed that enables dynamic modification of access policies or file attributes, and supports efficient on-demand user/attribute revocation and break-glass access under emergency scenarios.
Abstract: Personal health record (PHR) is an emerging patientcentric model of health information exchange, which is often outsourced to be stored at a third party, such as cloud providers. However, there have been wide privacy concerns as personal health information could be exposed to those third party servers and to unauthorized parties. To assure the patients’ control over access to their own PHRs, it is a promising method to encrypt the PHRs before outsourcing. Yet, issues such as risks of privacy exposure, scalability in key management, flexible access, and efficient user revocation, have remained the most important challenges toward achieving fine-grained, cryptographically enforced data access control. In this paper, we propose a novel patient-centric framework and a suite of mechanisms for data access control to PHRs stored in semi trusted servers. To achieve fine-grained and scalable data access control for PHRs, we leverage attribute-based encryption (ABE) techniques to encrypt each patient’s PHR file. Different fr previous works in secure data outsourcing, we focus on the multiple data owner scenario, and divide the users in the PHR system into multiple security domains that greatly reduces the key management complexity for owners and users. A high degree of patient privacy is guaranteed simultaneously by exploiting multi authority ABE. Our scheme also enables dynamic modification of access policies or file attributes, supports efficient on-demand user/attribute revocation and break-glass access under emergency scenarios. Abstract: Cirrhosis results from different mechanisms of liver injury that lead to necroinflammation and fibrogenesis; Patients with liver cirrhosis often require liver transplantation but it is affected by many problems, including relative operative damage, high costs, lack of donors, and risk of rejection. Currently studies are shown the Stem cell therapy has the potential to provide a valuable adjunct to the management of disease, Stem cell should be the natural candidates to provide a renewable source of cells for transplantation. The main mechanism of stem cell therapy is that stem cell capacity to differentiate into any of the hundreds of distinct cell types that comprise the human body. In addition to their potential in therapeutics can be used to study the earliest stages of human development and disease modeling using human cells. In this article, we review the potential for stem cell therapies to treat liver cirrhosis, MSCs cells are reprogrammed as useful sources of cells that can be change to liver cell for treatment of cirrhosis but pathological implication and autologous bone marrow stem cell therapy for cirrhosis are still to be elucidated and clinical trials that required before this cell transplantation must be performed in Large-scale controlled to becomes a regular therapy.

Abstract: Using a novel empirical approach and an extensive dataset developed by the Fiscal Affairs Department of the IMF, we find no evidence of any particular debt threshold above which medium-term growth prospects are dramatically compromised. Furthermore, we find the debt trajectory can be as important as the debt level in understanding future growth prospects, since countries with high but declining debt appear to grow equally as fast as countries with lower debt. Notwithstanding this, we find some evidence that higher debt is associated with a higher degree of output volatility. JEL Classification Numbers: H63, O40

Abstract: A duplicate move fabrication location conspire utilizing highlight point coordinating and versatile over-division is worked here. This plan coordinates both square based and key point-based falsification location strategies. To start with, the proposed Adaptive Over-Segmentation calculation fragments the host picture into non-covering and sporadic pieces adaptively. At that point, the component focuses are removed from each piece as square elements, and the square elements are coordinated with each other to find the named include focuses, this strategy can around show the presumed fraud districts. To recognize the phony locales all the more precisely, the Forgery Region Extraction calculation is exhibited, which replaces the component focuses with little superpixels as highlight pieces. At that point combines the neighboring hinders that have comparable nearby shading highlights into the component squares to create the blended areas. At last, it applies the morphological operation to the combined locales to create the identified fabrication areas. A Communication Networks Integrated by Dataand Energy for Wireless Big Data

TL;DR: The DEIN communication network proposed in this paper regards the convergence of WIT and WET as a full system that considers not only the physical layer but also the higher layers, such as media access control and information routing.
Abstract: SURVEY PAPER 1 ABSTRACT: This survey describes a new type of communication network called data and energy integrated communication networks (DEINs), which integrates the traditionally separate two processes, i.e., wireless information transfer (WIT) and wireless energy transfer (WET), fulfilling co-transmission of data and energy. In particular, the energy transmission using radio frequency is for the purpose of energy harvesting (EH) rather than information decoding. One driving force of the advent of DEINs is wireless big data, which comes from wireless sensors that produce a large amount of small piece of data. These sensors are typically powered by battery that drains sooner or later and will have to be taken out and then replaced or recharged. EH has emerged as a technology to wirelessly charge batteries in a contactless way. Recent research work has attempted to combine WET with WIT, typically under the label of simultaneous wireless information and power transfer. Such work in the literature largely focuses on the communication side of the whole wireless networks with particular emphasis on power allocation. The DEIN communication network proposed in this paper regards the convergence of WIT and WET as a full system that considers not only the physical layer but also the higher layers, such as media access control and information routing. After describing the DEIN concept and its high-level architecture/protocol stack, this paper presents two use cases focusing on the lower layer and the higher layer of a DEIN network, respectively. The lower layer use case is about a fair resource allocation algorithm, whereas the high-layer section introduces an efficient data forwarding scheme in combination with EH. The two case studies aim to give a better explanation of the DEIN concept. Some future research directions and challenges are also pointed out. INTRODUCTION An important form of big data is large amount of small piece of data collected from wireless sensors, namely, wireless big data. These sensors are typically powered by battery that drains sooner or later and will have to be taken out and then

TL;DR: NeoGeography as mentioned in this paper is defined as a blurring of the distinctions between producer, communicator and consumer of geographic information, and it can be seen as a way of "deletion".
Abstract: NeoGeography has been defined as a blurring of the distinctions between producer, communicator and consumer of geographic information. The relationship between professional and amateur varies across disciplines. The subject matter of geography is familiar to everyone, and the acquisition and compilation of geographic data have become vastly easier as technology has advanced. The authority of traditional mapping agencies can be attributed to their specifications, production mechanisms and programs for quality control. Very different mechanisms work to ensure the quality of data volunteered by amateurs. Academic geographers are concerned with the extraction of knowledge from geographic data using a combination of analytic tools and accumulated theory. The definition of NeoGeography implies a misunderstanding of this role of the professional, but English lacks a basis for a better term.
