Indoor air pollution and human ocular diseases: Associated contaminants and underlying pathological mechanisms.
TL;DR: In this article , the adverse impacts of indoor pollution on the human ocular surface were summarized, and the importance of reducing associated contaminants to decrease their detrimental effects on human eyes was highlighted.

The spatial distribution, health risk, and cytotoxicity of metal(loid)s in contaminated field soils: The role of Cd in human gastric cells damage.
Jiaoyang Ma,Wei Yu Li,Zien Yang,Jin-Zhou Su,Li Li,Yirong Deng,Yun-Fei Tuo,You-Ya Niu,Ping Xiang +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the spatial distribution and pollution level of heavy metal(loid)s in soil (0-6 m) from a typical industrial region in Jiangmen City, Southeast China was investigated.

Road dust exposure and human corneal damage in a plateau high geological background provincial capital city: Spatial distribution, sources, bioaccessibility, and cytotoxicity of dust heavy metals
Zien Yang,H. Liu,Jing-Ya Li,Yahong Bao,Ji Yang,Li Li,Zi-Yu Zhao,Qin-Xiang Zheng,Ping Xiang +8 more
TL;DR: All dust extracts induced cytotoxicity, evidenced by stronger inhibition of cell viability, higher production of ROS, and altered mRNA expression of antioxidant enzymes and cell cycle-related genes, with commercial- areas-2 (CA2)-dust extract showing the greatest oxidative damage and cell cycle arrest.
Organophosphorus Flame Retardant TCPP Induces Cellular Senescence in Normal Human Skin Keratinocytes: Implication for Skin Aging
Jian-Xiang Liu,Daolei Cui,Dan-lei Yang,Jing-Ya Li,Zien Yang,Jingwei Su,C. Ren,You-Ya Niu,Ping Xiang +8 more
TL;DR: In this article , the effects of TCPP exposure on human skin were investigated and it was found that TCPP caused a concentration-dependent decrease in HaCaT cell viability after exposure to 1.56-400 μg/mL for 24 hours.
