The invention relates to the technical field of artificial intelligence, and provides an object recognition method and device, a storage medium and electronic equipment. The object recognition methodcomprises the following steps: obtaining the overall characteristics of a target image and the overall characteristics of a contrast image, and calculating the similarity of the target image and the contrast image on the overall characteristics; obtaining the non-key features of the target image and the non-key features of the contrast image, and calculating the similarity of the target image andthe contrast image on the non-key features; subtracting the similarity of the target image and the contrast image on the non-key features from the similarity of the target image and the contrast imageon the overall features to obtain a final similarity; and identifying an object in the target image by using the final similarity. According to the method, through similarity subtraction, non-key features are weakened in the overall features of the two images, key features are enhanced, the influence of the enhanced key features is reflected in the final similarity, and therefore the accuracy ofobject recognition in the target image based on the final similarity is high.
