A highly selective HBT-based “turn-on” fluorescent probe for hydrazine detection and its application
TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper constructed a turn-on fluorescent probe HBTM for N 2 H 4 detection based on ESIPT and ICT mechanism by incorporating the methyl dicyanvinyl group to 2-(2′-hydroxylphenyl) benzothiazole (HBT) fluorophore.

An HBT-Based Near-Infrared Fluorescent Probe for Colorimetric and Ratiometric Detection of Bisulfite and its Application in Living Cells.
TL;DR: A new type of ratiometric fluorescent probe HBT-TCF with large emission shift (up to 200 nm) has been developed for sensing HSO3− based on Michael-type addition reaction and could fast recognize of HSO 3− within 3 min in PBS buffer solution.

HBT-based turn-on fluorescent probe for discrimination of homocysteine from glutathione/cysteine and its bioimaging applications
Fengzao Chen,Fengzao Chen,Zhen Chen,Yuanchao Sun,Heng Liu,Deman Han,Hanping He,Xiuhua Zhang,Shengfu Wang +8 more
TL;DR: Based on ESIPT and heavy atom effect strategy, a new type of turn-on fluorescent probe for Hcy was reported in this article, which displayed fast response time (15 min), excellent selectivity over other interfering species and high sensitivity with a low detection limit of 1.6 × 10−7 M in PBS buffer containing 1% CH3CN (v/v).
A novel ratiometric fluorescent probe for selective detection of bisulfite in living cells
TL;DR: A new type of ratiometric fluorescent probe, 8-(diethylamino)-2-methyl-4-oxo-4H-pyrano[2,3-b]chromen-10-ylium tetrafluoroborate (APCT), is reported which can successfully detect bisulfite anions with a detection limit of 6.1 × 10−7 M.
