The synergistic effect of hierarchical micro/nano-topography and bioactive ions for enhanced osseointegration
Wenjie Zhang,Guocheng Wang,Yan Liu,Xiaobing Zhao,Duohong Zou,Chao Zhu,Yuqin Jin,Qingfeng Huang,Jian Sun,Xuanyong Liu,Xinquan Jiang,Xinquan Jiang,Hala Zreiqat +12 more
TL;DR: Results suggest that the developed Sr-HT coatings have the potential for future use as coatings for orthopedic/dental and maxillofacial devices.

The Effects of Platelet-Derived Growth Factor-BB on Human Dental Pulp Stem Cells Mediated Dentin-Pulp Complex Regeneration.
TL;DR: The results showed that PDGF‐BB can significantly enhance hDPSC proliferation and odontoblastic differentiation and facilitates hD PSCs migration via the activation of the phosphatidylinositol 3 kinase (PI3K)/Akt signaling pathway, and demonstrated that the PDGF-BB possesses a powerful function in prompting stem cell‐based dentin‐pulp tissue regeneration.

Effects of a hybrid micro/nanorod topography-modified titanium implant on adhesion and osteogenic differentiation in rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells.
Wenjie Zhang,Zihui Li,Qingfeng Huang,Ling Xu,Jinhua Li,Yuqin Jin,Guifang Wang,Xuanyong Liu,Xinquan Jiang +8 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that a hybrid micro/nanorod topography on a titanium surface fabricated by treatment with hydrogen peroxide followed by acid etching might facilitate osseointegration of a titanium implant in vivo.
rhPDGF-BB Via ERK Pathway Osteogenesis and Adipogenesis Balancing in ADSCs for Critical-Sized Calvarial Defect Repair
Yuqin Jin,Wenjie Zhang,Yan Liu,Maolin Zhang,Lianyi Xu,Qianju Wu,Xiuli Zhang,Ziyuan Zhu,Qingfeng Huang,Xinquan Jiang +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the effects of rhPDGF-BB on the proliferation and osteogenic and adipogenic differentiation of rat ADSCs and explored whether the extracellular signal-related kinase (ERK) signaling pathway might be involved.

Vacuum extraction enhances rhPDGF-BB immobilization on nanotubes to improve implant osseointegration in ovariectomized rats.
Wenjie Zhang,Yuqin Jin,Shi Qian,Jinhua Li,Qing Chang,Dongxia Ye,Hongya Pan,Maolin Zhang,Huiliang Cao,Xuanyong Liu,Xinquan Jiang +10 more
TL;DR: Significant evidence is presented that enhanced immobilization of recombinant human PDGF-BB protein particles on nanotubes lead to improved osteogenic differentiation in an experimental system, raising the likelihood for potential future clinical applications.
