A microcomputer includes a program memory for storing program data, a program counter for addressing the program memory, an instruction decoder for decoding the program data read out from an address of the program memory addressed by the program counter, an electrically programmable nonvolatile memory for storing address data denoting an address of the program memory where program data to be corrected is stored, and correction program data, a comparator for comparing the output from the program counter with the address data stored in the nonvolatile memory and outputting a coincidence signal when a coincidence is found therebetween, and a program correction circuit for reading out the program data from the nonvolatile memory in response to the coincidence signal, and for supplying the readout data to the instruction decoder in place of the output from the program memory. According to another feature, the microcomputer may comprise a program correction circuit wherein a correction address is supplied to a program counter, and wherein code sections are stored.

A CPU in a one-chip microcomputer executes a control operation in accordance with program data stored in part of a flash memory capable of erasing/writing data in each memory block defined in the flash memory. A write controller writes data in a specific block in the flash memory. A plurality of adjustment values for correcting variations between products in which the system is to be used are written in a specific block of the flash memory after the adjustment values are determined. A control program for rewriting data stored in the flash memory is written before the one-chip microcomputer is incorporated in the system. After the one-chip microcomputer is incorporated in the system, data is written in the flash memory through the write controller. In addition, the circuit configuration of the system is stored in part of the flash memory. When a program stored in the flash memory of the system is upgraded, an upgrading program is selected on the basis of the circuit configuration written in the flash memory by the write controller.

A camera includes a mechanically-controlled aperture mechanism providing two or more aperture sizes for regulation of the intensity of image light gathered by the camera, a storage device for storing aperture calibration data corresponding to the measured transmissivity of each aperture size, and means for controlling camera exposure according to the value of one or more exposure parameters other than the aperture. In addition, in a camera with a zoom lens and a camera of the two focus switching type, a plurality of adjusting values are stored in the digital memory in response to information of focal length. Furthermore, such adjusting values are stored in the digital memory to adjust an fc error as well as an AF error in a range finder.

The compensation data may be obtained through the use of a test instrument by comparing test results against results obtained by the camera calculator or through the use of comparing a previously standarized shutter speed with the shutter speed determined by the camera calculator. The compensation value can be used to provide a corrected display. A separate compensation value for an aperture deviation can also be stored. The stored data is retained unchanged by removal of a jumper control.
