PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic ticket examination machine and an automatic ticket examination system which can accurately perform ticket examination processing using a plurality of non-contact type IC cards.SOLUTION: When a plurality of IC cards is used together, a user holds all of the plurality of IC cards, and an automatic ticket examination machine for entrance stores entrance information including multiple usage information indicating all the IC cards held over by the user to all the IC cards held over at the entrance time, whereas the automatic ticket examination machine for exit confirms that all the IC cards are available which are held over at the time of entrance and which are indicated by the multiple usage information read from any one of the IC cards held over by the user, and performs an exit determination by a combination of these cards when all the IC cards held over at the time of entrance are confirmed. Thereby, the user can be prevented from being determined that he or she makes an unintended exit without any of the plurality of IC cards presented by the user at the entrance time being captured.

When it is judged that the added sum is sufficient for the calculated fare, the balance information of the first portable electronic equipment is updated to the sum calculated by subtracting the fare from the added sum, and the sum of the balance information of the second portable electronic equipment is updated to 0 yen.
