TL;DR: It is reported that hepatocyte‐specific CREG deletion dramatically exacerbates high‐fat diet and leptin deficiency–induced (ob/ob) adverse effects such as obesity, hepatic steatosis, and metabolic disorders, whereas a beneficial effect is conferred by CREG overexpression.
