MicroRNA-199a targets CD44 to suppress the tumorigenicity and multidrug resistance of ovarian cancer-initiating cells.
TL;DR: Exposure to endogenous mature miR‐199a may prevent tumorigenesis in human ovarian cancer by regulating expression of its target gene CD44.

Estrogenic G protein-coupled receptor 30 signaling is involved in regulation of endometrial carcinoma by promoting proliferation, invasion potential, and interleukin-6 secretion via the MEK/ERK mitogen-activated protein kinase pathway.
TL;DR: It is shown that GPR30 is highly expressed in endometrial cancer tissues and cancer cell lines and positively regulates cell proliferation and invasion and suggests that G PR30‐mediated non‐genomic signaling could play an important role in endometricrial cancer.

Suppression of anoikis by the neurotrophic receptor TrkB in human ovarian cancer.
TL;DR: The study suggests that TrkB might mediate anoikis suppression by activating the PI3K–AKT pathway in ovarian cancer cells.

The G protein-coupled receptor GPR30 mediates the proliferative and invasive effects induced by hydroxytamoxifen in endometrial cancer cells.
TL;DR: New insight is provided into the mechanism involved in the agonistic activity exerted by TAM in the uterus through the role of G-protein coupled receptor 30 (GPR30) in the activity of TAM, which promoted endometrial cancer.

Interferon-β induced microRNA-129-5p down-regulates HPV-18 E6 and E7 viral gene expression by targeting SP1 in cervical cancer cells.
TL;DR: This study is the first report of a cellular miRNA with anti-HPV activity and provides new insights into regulatory mechanisms between the HPV and the IFN system in host cells at the miRNA level.
