Improvement and analysis of VDP method in time/memory tradeoff applications
Wenhao Wang,Dongdai Lin,Zhenqi Li,Tianze Wang +3 more
- 23 Nov 2011
TL;DR: An accurate version of the tradeoff curve that does not ignore the effect of false alarms and takes storage reduction techniques into consideration is presented, and a more exact and fair comparison between tradeoff algorithms is given, which shows that the method applied to the Hellman tradeoff performs best among them.
Analysis of Multiple Checkpoints in Non-perfect and Perfect Rainbow Tradeoff Revisited
Wenhao Wang,Dongdai Lin +1 more
- 20 Nov 2013
TL;DR: The analysis of multiple checkpoints in rainbow tradeoff is revisited and a new sight is given to the computation of the expected decreasing number of chain regenerations at the k-th iteration to better understand the real nature of false alarms.
A new variant of time memory trade-off on the improvement of thing and ying's attack
Zhenqi Li,Yao Lu,Wenhao Wang,Bin Zhang,Dongdai Lin +4 more
- 29 Oct 2012
TL;DR: Both theoretical analysis and experimental results show that the new design can save about 53.7% cryptanalysis time compared to TY attack and can reduce about 35.2% storage requirement compared to the original rainbow attack.
