Disclosed are an unmanned vehicle control method and an unmanned vehicle control apparatus, wherein the method comprises: collecting a video image in front of a vehicle to obtain map data of the video image; acquiring geographic location information of the vehicle; according to the map data of the video image, three-dimensional map data of a prestored vehicle travel route and the geographic location information, determining vehicle location information of the vehicle on the vehicle travel route; according to a correlation between the vehicle location information and prestored vehicle location information, and a driving control parameter, acquiring a corresponding driving control parameter; acquiring running speed information of the vehicle; and according to the running speed information and the driving control parameter, controlling the vehicle to run on the vehicle travel route. Therefore, a vehicle itself can determine information related to traveling and take an corresponding action; there is no need to establish complicated rail equipment and in addition, the number of central control devices can be reduced, which lowers costs and improves the efficiency of vehicle operation and maintenance management.
