TL;DR: This trial offers evidence of good tolerability and efficacy of PQ against P. vivax relapse when administered concurrently with DHA-PP or AS-PYR, and another option when primaquine therapy is removed from the treatment of the acute malaria or applied presumptively without an attack.

TL;DR: Clinical malaria mimics other common tropical infections and the diagnosis requires laboratory confirmation, but malaria-like symptoms in a patient exposed to risk should be presumed to be malaria until proven otherwise.
