Lipases: Useful biocatalysts for the preparation of pharmaceuticals
TL;DR: This review covers some general aspects and representative examples of the use of lipases for the enantioselective or regioselectives preparation of alcohol and amine intermediates in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals.

A useful and versatile procedure for the acylation of nucleosides through an enzymic reaction
Francisco Morís,Vicente Gotor +1 more
TL;DR: Candida antarctica lipases (SP435 and SP435A) showed high regioselectivity toward the primary hydroxyl group of both deoxy- and ribonucleosides, whereas other lipases exhibited poor results for this goal.

Biocatalysis Applied to the Preparation of Pharmaceuticals
TL;DR: The utility of four kinds of processes which have been carried out recently in the laboratory in the field of pharmaceutical chemistry, including enzymatic resolution of alcohols, enzymatic acylation of amines, regioselective acylations, and alkoxycarbonylation of natural products, and chemoenzymatics synthesis of products of high added value using (R)-oxynitrilase as biocatalyst are described.
