Classification of Log Files with Limited Labeled Data
Stefan Hommes,Radu State,Thomas Engel +2 more
- 15 Oct 2013
TL;DR: This work addresses the problem of anomaly detection in log files that consist of a huge number of records by demonstrating label propagation as a semi-supervised learning technique and applies it to label a complete dataset in only a limited number of iterations.

Aggregated representations and metrics for scalable flow analysis
Jerome Francois,Radu State,Thomas Engel +2 more
- 12 Dec 2013
TL;DR: An aggregated representation of the network traffic is leveraged which is further analyzed using dedicated entropic based metrics and machine learning techniques, resulting in a reduction of the computational complexity while the accuracy still remains acceptable as highlighted by evaluation on real datasets.

Asymmetry Analysis of Inbound/Outbound Car Traffic Load distribution in Luxembourg
Foued Melakessou,Thierry Derrmann,Thomas Engel +2 more
- 02 Nov 2015
TL;DR: This paper proposes to analyse the mobility of drivers in Luxembourg, as well as cross-border traffic, using a loop detector traffic dataset, based on the road traffic counting architecture of Ponts et Chaussées (PCH) recorded in 2010.

RAMSES: Revealing Android Malware Through String Extraction and Selection
Lautaro Dolberg,Quentin Jerome,Jerome Francois,Jerome Francois,Radu State,Thomas Engel +5 more
- 24 Sep 2014
TL;DR: RAMSES, an approach based on the static content stored as strings within an application that selects the most relevant features based on frequency metrics, and classify applications using machine learning algorithms relying on such features.

Towards a New Way of Reliable Routing: Multiple Paths over ARCs
Foued Melakessou,Maria Rita Palattella,Thomas Engel +2 more
- 01 Dec 2014
TL;DR: It is shown, by means of simulation results, how ARC over-performs classical multi-path routing algorithms, by building disjoint multiple paths without extra-cost due to new route computation.
