Seasonal variation in expression pattern of genes under HSP70 : Seasonal variation in expression pattern of genes under HSP70 family in heat- and cold-adapted goats (Capra hircus).
Dipak Banerjee,Dipak Banerjee,Ramesh C. Upadhyay,U.B. Chaudhary,Ravindra Kumar,S.V. Singh,Ashutosh,G. Jagan Mohanarao,Shamik Polley,Ayan Mukherjee,Tapan Kumar Das,Sachinandan De +11 more
TL;DR: The results indicate that the expression pattern of HSP70 genes is species- and breed-specific, most likely due to variations in thermal tolerance and adaptation to different climatic conditions.
Saponin: role in animal system.
Tapan Kumar Das,Dipyaman Banerjee,Doran Chakraborty,M. C. Pakhira,Bhuvnesh Shrivastava,Ramesh Chander Kuhad +5 more
TL;DR: Saponins have biological role as membrane-permeabilising, immunostimulant and hypocholesterolaemic properties and it has found to have significant affect growth and feed intake in animals.
Seasonal variations in physio-biochemical profiles of Indian goats in the paradigm of hot and cold climate
Dipak Banerjee,Ramesh C. Upadhyay,U.B. Chaudhary,Ravindra Kumar,S.V. Singh,Ashutosh,Tapan Kumar Das,Sachinandan De +7 more
TL;DR: The variations in physiological, haematological, blood biochemical parameters in heat- and cold-adapted goats may be due to their adaptation to different environmental and geographical conditions essential for their survival.

Effect of Vitamin E Supplementation on Hematological and Plasma Biochemical Parameters during Long Term Exposure of Arsenic in Goats.
TL;DR: It can be concluded that arsenic exposure resulted in varying degree of changes in hemato-biochemical parameters and activities of antioxidant enzymes in goats but concomitant treatment with Vitamin E is partially helpful in reducing the burden of arsenic induced effect.
Copy number differences of Y chromosomal genes between superior and inferior quality semen producing crossbred (Bos taurus × Bos indicus) bulls.
Ayan Mukherjee,Gulshan Dass,Jagan Mohanarao G,Vinay Kumar Katneni,Dipak Banerjee,Tapan Kumar Das,Moloya Gohain,A K Chakrabarty,Tirtha Kumar Datta,Sachinandan De +9 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the copy number of TSPY, a Y chromosomal spermatogenesis related gene, may be an important determinant to predict the quality of bull semen, facilitating better selection of bulls in a herd for semen collection program.
