Pioglitazone inhibition of lipopolysaccharide- induced nitric oxide synthase is associated with altered activity of p38 MAP kinase and PI3K/Akt
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that pioglitazone protects dopaminergic neurons against LPS insult at least via inhibiting iNOS expression and NO generation, which is potentially mediated via inhibition of p38 MAPK activity.

TL;DR: Investigating the mechanism of action and extent of selective dopaminergic neurodegeneration caused by exposure to trichloroethylene (TCE) leading to the endogenous formation of the neurotoxin 1-trichloromethyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-β-carboline (TaClo) in rodents indicated that additional co-morbid factors would be needed for mimicking the profound loss of dopamine neurons seen in Parkinson’

Glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor protects midbrain dopaminergic neurons against lipopolysaccharide neurotoxicity.
TL;DR: It is reported that GDNF not only reduces lipopolysaccharide-induced degeneration of dopaminergic neurons, suppresses microglia activation and nitric oxide generation, but also reverses the inhibition of phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) in dopaminationergic neurons and micro glia.

Fucoxanthin attenuates behavior deficits and neuroinflammatory response in 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6 -tetrahydropyridine-induced Parkinson's disease in mice
TL;DR: Fucoxanthin exerts neuroprotective potential in opposition to MPTP-mediated PD mice through repressing α-synuclein expression, oxidative stress and gliosis, recommended that fucoxanth in might perform as a beneficial remedy toward PD amelioration.

Expression of hepatocyte growth factor and its receptor c-Met in human pituitary adenomas.
TL;DR: The results indicate that HGF and c-Met are widely expressed in pituitary adenomas, and their expression correlates with MVD and Ki-67 expression.
