Non-thermal desorption of complex organic molecules - Efficient CH3OH and CH3COOCH3 sputtering by cosmic rays
Emmanuel Dartois,Marin Chabot,T. Id Barkach,Hermann Rothard,B. Augé,A. N. Agnihotri,Alicja Domaracka,Ph. Boduch +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigate the sputtering efficiency of complex organic molecules that are observed either in the ice mantles of interstellar dense clouds directly by infrared spectroscopy (CH3 OH), or that were observed in the gas phase by millimeter telescopes (CH 3 COOCH3 ) and that could be released from interstellar grain surfaces.

Cosmic ray sputtering yield of interstellar ice mantles: CO and CO2 ice thickness dependence
Emmanuel Dartois,Marin Chabot,T. Id Barkach,Hermann Rothard,Philippe Boduch,B. Augé,A. N. Agnihotri +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the sputtering yield as a function of ice mantle thickness for the two next most abundant species of ice mantles, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide, which were exposed to several ion beams to explore the dependence with deposited energy.
Electronic sputtering of solid N2 by swift ions
Emmanuel Dartois,Marin Chabot,T. Id Barkach,Hermann Rothard,Ph. Boduch,B. Augé,J. Duprat,J. Duprat,J. Rojas +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the sputtering yield for solid N 2 at stopping powers, in the electronic regime, above 10 − 12 eV cm 2 /molecule, was measured using a 33 MeV 58Ni 9 + swift heavy ions beam.
