Ultra-secure optical encryption based on tightly focused perfect optical vortex beams
Qingshuai Yang,Zijian Xie,Mengrui Zhang,Xu Ouyang,Yi Xu,Yaoyu Cao,Sicong Wang,Linwei Zhu,Xiangping Li +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper , a simple scheme composed of single spatial light modulator to implement Fourier transform of an ideal Bessel mode with both amplitude and phase modulations is proposed to generate radius-controllable perfect optical vortex (POV) beams with controllable annular intensity profiles and OAM states.
Three-dimensional magnetization needle arrays with controllable orientation
TL;DR: The results illustrate the richness of the proposed methods to locally control the particular orientation properties of the MN and find many potential applications in multichannel/multilayer magneto-optical storage, information security, and spintronics.

Efficient color routing with a dispersion-controlled waveguide array
Yikun Liu,Sicong Wang,Yongyao Li,Liyan Song,Xiangsheng Xie,Mingneng Feng,Zhiming Xiao,Shaozhi Deng,Jianying Zhou,Juntao Li,Juntao Li,Kam Sing Wong,Thomas F. Krauss +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, a tricolor wavelength router is proposed to enable efficient color routing in a micro-sized device based on differential material dispersion in a waveguide array, which causes different wavelength signals to couple selectively into appropriate waveguides.
Quasicompactons in inverted nonlinear photonic crystals
Yongyao Li,Yongyao Li,Boris A. Malomed,Jianxiong Wu,Jianxiong Wu,Wei Pang,Sicong Wang,Jianying Zhou +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, large-amplitude one-dimensional solitary waves in photonic crystals featuring competition between linear and nonlinear lattices were studied, with minima of the linear potential coinciding with maxima of nonlinear pseudopotential, and vice versa in the case of saturable self-focusing nonlinearity.

Formation of Ohmic contacts on laser irradiated n-type 6H-SiC without thermal annealing
TL;DR: In this paper, KrF excimer laser irradiation of n-type SiC is used to form Ohmic contacts at the interfaces between the irradiated SiC and various types of metals with different work functions without subsequent thermal annealing.
