Carboxylesterase-mediated insecticide resistance: Quantitative increase induces broader metabolic resistance than qualitative change.
Feng Cui,Mei-Xia Li,Hai-Jing Chang,Yun Mao,Hanying Zhang,Li-Xia Lu,Shuaiguo Yan,Minglin Lang,Li Liu,Chuanling Qiao +9 more
TL;DR: The present transgenic Drosophila system potentially showed that a quantitative increase in carboxylesterases induced broader resistance of insects to insecticides than a qualitative change.

High-throughput genotyping of single-nucleotide polymorphisms in ace-1 gene of mosquitoes using MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry.
TL;DR: The aims of this study are to identify single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) sites in the ace‐1 gene of the C. pipiens complex and explore an economical high‐throughput method to differentiate the genotypes of these sites in mosquitoes collected in the field.

Dynamics of esterase alleles in Culex pipiens complex mosquitoes in Beijing.
TL;DR: Compared with previous surveys, the polymorphism of amplified esterase alleles in Beijing populations increased, although the resistance level to organophosphate insecticides declined.

Evaluation of the synergistic effects of epigallocatechin-3-gallate-loaded PEGylated-PLGA nanoparticles with nimodipine against neuronal injury after subarachnoid hemorrhage
Xianguang Yang,M. Han,Xue Wang,Jian Wang,Xiaoxue Sun,Chunyan Zhang,Shuaiguo Yan,Liyong Huang,Ying Chen +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper , PEGylated-PLGA EGCG nanoparticles (EGCG-NPs) were constructed to enhance the bioavailability by using the double-emulsion method.

Evaluation of 8-hydroxylquinoline physiological effect and Genotoxicity on Paramisgurnus dabryanus using hepatase activity and comet assay
Ping Nan,Shuaiguo Yan,Jianjun Chen,Zhongjie Chang +3 more
- 01 Jan 2012
TL;DR: The results suggest that 8-HOQ may become toxic chemical contaminant in environment and threaten aquatic and other organism health.
