Long Non-Coding RNA MALAT1 Mediates Transforming Growth Factor Beta1-Induced Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition of Retinal Pigment Epithelial Cells.
TL;DR: In this article, the role of long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) MALAT1 in transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGF-β1)-induced epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) of retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) cells was investigated.

Mechanisms of epithelial-mesenchymal transition in proliferative vitreoretinopathy.
TL;DR: Recent studies indicated that EMT in RPE cells is a main contributor of PVR and involves various growth factors/cytokines, transcriptional factors, and microRNAs, and targeting these factors/microRNAs suppresses the progression of EMT and thus may provide novel ideas for the treatment of Pvr.

Optical coherence tomography angiography characteristics of acute retinal arterial occlusion
TL;DR: As a valuable noninvasive imaging tool, OCT-A provides deeper and more detailed vascular information that extends the understanding of the vasculature alterations in acute RAO.
Long noncoding RNA ERLR mediates epithelial-mesenchymal transition of retinal pigment epithelial cells and promotes experimental proliferative vitreoretinopathy.
Shuai Yang,Hui Li,Haipei Yao,Yao Zhang,Huiqian Bao,Huiqian Bao,Liangjing Wu,Conghui Zhang,Min Li,Le Feng,Jingfa Zhang,Zhi Zheng,Guo-Tong Xu,Fang Wang +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the role of EMT-related lncRNA in retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) cells is examined and the underlying mechanisms of the underlying mechanism are explored.
TSPAN4-positive migrasome derived from retinal pigmented epithelium cells contributes to the development of proliferative vitreoretinopathy
Liangjing Wu,Shuai Yang,Hui Li,Yao Zhang,Le Feng,Cong Hui Zhang,Jiayi Wei,Xunyi Gu,GuoTong Xu,Zhaoyang Wang,Fang Wang +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors used ex vivo, in vitro, and in vivo models, to investigate the characteristics and functions of migrasomes in RPE activation and PVR development.
