TL;DR: In this paper, a unified account of state nominalization and event nominalization is presented, and it is shown that in Spanish, Catalan, French, English and German the question of whether a deverbal nominalization denotes a state or an event depends on independent properties of the verbal base.
Deriving individual-level and stage-level psych verbs in Spanish

TL;DR: In this paper, an analysis of subject-experiencer and object-experienced psychological predicates (SEPVs and OEPVs, respectively) was carried out and it was shown that SEPVs simply denote states without boundaries, which correspond to individual level (IL) states, while OEPV denote states with an onset, corresponding to the denotation of SLs.
