Optical properties of PbS thin films chemically deposited at different temperatures
TL;DR: In this paper, the Bruggeman's effective medium approximation and the Lorentz oscillator expression were used to analyze the ellipsometry measurements, and the complex dielectric function, thickness, roughness and void fraction of the films were examined as a function of temperature deposition.

Band-gap shift in CdS: phase transition from cubic to hexagonal on thermal annealing
O. Zelaya-Angel,Luis Hernandez,O. de Melo,Juan Jose Alvarado-Gil,R. Lozada‐Morales,Ciro Falcony,Helion Vargas,R. Ramírez-Bon +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the band-gap energies of CdS grown by chemical bath deposition are obtained by optical transmission and photoacoustic spectroscopy and correlated over a range of thermal annealing temperature, in which the evolution of sample structure is characterized by X-ray diffraction patterns.

Optical properties and layer microstructure of CdS films obtained from an ammonia-free chemical bath deposition process
TL;DR: In this article, the optical and structural properties of chemically deposited CdS films obtained from an ammonia-free chemical bath deposition process were reported, which is based in the substitution of ammonia by sodium citrate as the complexing agent in the reaction solution.

Chemically deposited CdS films in an ammonia-free cadmium-sodium citrate system
TL;DR: In this article, the properties of chemically deposited CdS thin films in a cadmium-sodium citrate system were determined from X-ray diffraction, optical transmission and reflection spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy measurements.

Structural transition of chemically deposited CdS films on thermal annealing
R. Ramírez-Bon,N C Sandoval-Inda,F.J. Espinoza-Beltrán,Mérida Sotelo-Lerma,O. Zelaya-Angel,Ciro Falcony +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, as-grown CdS films were thermally annealed in a controlled atmosphere and the annealing process produces a gradual structural transition from cubic to hexagonal.
