Feed resources and feeding techniques of small ruminants under extensive management conditions
TL;DR: In this paper, the nutritional ecology of small ruminants under extensive conditions in northeastern Mexico was studied, and it was shown that browse provided food and cover for white-tailed deer, and high levels of shrubs negatively influenced the digestibility of their monthly simulated diets.

Protein, lignin and mineral contents and in situ dry matter digestibility of native Mexican grasses consumed by range goats
TL;DR: It was estimated that an adult range goat consuming the studied grasses, could eat sufficient amounts of Ca, Fe, and K (except for K from Aristida spp. in winter and summer), but of Na, Zn and Mn only in spring and autumn, and of Cu only in autumn.

Ruminal digestion characteristics and effective degradability of cell wall of browse species from northeastern Mexico
TL;DR: Species such as C. pallida, C. obovata, L. Leucocephala and O. lindehimieri may be considered as good available forages for grazing ruminants in northern Mexico due to effective degradability of CW.

TL;DR: The effects of β-adrenergic agonists ractopamine hydrochloride (RH; 0.35, 0.20 and 0.30mg of RH on growth performance and carcass characteristics were determined in 84 Dorper × Katahdin lambs (12 lambs per treatment), that were randomly assigned to a complete block design during a 42-day feeding trial.

Forage intake and nutrition of range goats in a shrubland in northeastern Mexico.
TL;DR: High levels of browse in the diets presumably were responsible for low in vitro OM digestibility throughout the year, and productivity of range goats in these areas should be improved by supplementing with protein and energy.
