(Ti,Zr)-pillared montmorillonite - A new quality with respect to Ti- and Zr-pillared clays
Krzysztof Bahranowski,W. Włodarczyk,W. Włodarczyk,Ewa Wisła-Walsh,Adam Gaweł,Jakub Matusik,Agnieszka Klimek,Barbara Gil,A. Michalik-Zym,R. Dula,Robert P. Socha,Ewa M. Serwicka +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a new evidence is presented on the nature of pillars and their relationship to the clay sheets, showing that they represent quasi-amorphous mixed Ti-Zr oxide, of short range order similar to that of a zirconium titanate phase.

Active, selective and robust Pd and/or Cr catalysts supported on Ti-, Zr- or [Ti,Zr]-pillared montmorillonites for destruction of chlorinated volatile organic compounds
A. Michalik-Zym,R. Dula,Dorota Duraczyńska,Joanna Kryściak-Czerwenka,T. Machej,Robert P. Socha,W. Włodarczyk,W. Włodarczyk,Adam Gaweł,Jakub Matusik,Krzysztof Bahranowski,Ewa Wisła-Walsh,Lidia Lityńska-Dobrzyńska,Ewa M. Serwicka +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper, Pd and/or Cr catalysts supported on Ti-, Zr- or mixed [Ti,Zr]-pillared montomorillonite clays (PILC), for use in combustion of dichloromethane (DCM) and trichloroethylene (TCE), were synthesized, and characterized with XRD, SEM, TEM/HRTEM, XPS, ESR and Raman spectroscopies.

Oxidation of aromatic hydrocarbons with hydrogen peroxide over Zn,Cu,Al-layered double hydroxides
Krzysztof Bahranowski,R. Dula,M. Gasior,M. Łabanowska,Alicja Michalik,L. A. Vartikian,Ewa M. Serwicka +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the performance of layered double hydroxides with general formula (Zn1−yCuy)1−xAlx(OH)2]-NO3)x·nH2O (x ≥ 0.33, 0.6 ≤y≤1.0, n≅ 0.5) has been characterized by XRD, chemical analysis, and ESR.

Composites derived from exfoliated Laponite and Mn-Al hydrotalcite prepared in inverse microemulsion: A new strategy for design of robust VOCs combustion catalysts
Bogna D. Napruszewska,A. Michalik-Zym,R. Dula,Elżbieta Bielańska,Wojciech Rojek,T. Machej,Robert P. Socha,Lidia Lityńska-Dobrzyńska,Krzysztof Bahranowski,Ewa M. Serwicka +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a novel strategy of designing combustion catalysts is proposed, in which catalytically active oxide nanoparticles, obtained by inverse microemulsion method, are trapped between randomly oriented clay layers.

ESR Study of Cu Centers Supported on Al-, Ti-, and Zr-Pillared Montmorillonite Clays
TL;DR: In this paper, the electron spin resonance (ESR) was used to investigate the in-plane covalency of the Cu-O inplane σ bonding due to the attachment of copper to lattice oxygens and showed that cupric ions form links with the pillars rather than with the silicate sheet.
