Suitable fertilization depth can improve the water productivity and maize yield by regulating development of the root system
Peng Wu,Fu Liu,Junying Wang,Yi-han Liu,Yuan Gao,Xuanqi Zhang,Guangzhou Chen,Fangyuan Huang,Shakeel Ahmad,Peng Zhang,Tie Cai,Zhikuan Jia +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the root distribution and root surface area density were investigated in a field experiment with spring maize and applied at different soil depths of 0.05 m, 0.15 m, and 0.35 m. The most effective fertilizer depth was 0.25 m and it can be used as an effective water and fertilizer management strategy for sustainable development of maize.

Study on the Dynamic Response and Anti-Collapse Mechanism of High-Pile Wharfs with Different Water Depths
Bo Song,Fei Zheng,Peng Wu +2 more
TL;DR: In this paper, numerical simulations of high-pile wharf were done by using the finite element method, and the displacements, bending moments and shears of the 7m wharf are obtained subjected to different kinds of earthquake waves, such as farfault and near-fault seismic waves.
