Site-independent allometric relationships for estimating above-ground weights of mangroves
Sasitorn Poungparn,Akira Komiyama,Pipat Patanaponpaipoon,Vipak Jintana,Tanuwong Sangtiean,Paisarn Tanapermpool,Somsak Piriyayota,Chatree Maknual,Shogo Kato +8 more
TL;DR: The application of the Pipe Model (Shinozaki et ai. 1964) for establishing site-independent allometric relationships common to a variety of geographically distinct mangroves is discussed.

Mortality and growth of cut pieces of viviparous mangrove (Rhizophora apiculata and R. mucronata) seedlings in the field condition
Akira Komiyama,Paisarn Tanapermpool,Sonjai Havanond,Chatree Maknual,Pipat Patanaponpaiboon,Akihiro Sumida,Takahiro Ohnishi,Shogo Kato +7 more
TL;DR: A possibility that cut pieces can be a useful plantation material is suggested, as the mortality was associated with the initial volume of individual cut pieces and the bottom cut pieces with large volumes showed lowest mortality.

Carbon dioxide emission through soil respiration in a secondary mangrove forest of eastern Thailand.
Sasitorn Poungparn,Akira Komiyama,Aki Tanaka,Tanuwong Sangtiean,Chatree Maknual,Shogo Kato,Paisarn Tanapermpool,Pipat Patanaponpaiboon +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied the rate of soil respiration in a secondary mangrove forest in eastern Thailand on an estuary of the Trat River during both the wet and dry seasons.
