An information processing apparatus processes a print job which includes electronic document data containing a shared object to be used wholly in the print job, a non-shared object to be used in part of the print job, and position information on each object, and a job ticket indicating print setting information associated with the electronic document data. The apparatus determines a dividing unit for the electronic document data, based on print attribute information contained in the electronic document data and the print setting information in the job ticket associated with the print attribute information, generates, according to the determined dividing unit, multiple electronic document data items each containing the shared object and the non-shared object associated with the dividing unit, but not including non-shared object unassociated with the dividing unit, and sequentially transmits the generated divided multiple electronic document data items to a printer.

SOLUTION: A minimum unit print job generating means 27 generates a minimum unit print job by dividing this printing job by a minimum unit capable of printing processing in parallel in spool processing of the received printing job. A job data transfer means 28 successively transfers print data generated by the minimum unit print job generating means 27 to an output device such as printers 4 1 to 4 n via a telecommunication line such as a network. This printing job can be successively transferred to the designated printer in a streaming system, without waiting for finishing of the spool processing of the received printing job by the minimum unit printing job generating means 27 and the job data transfer means 28. An information reading system comprising an information processing apparatus, a first information reading apparatus which is connected to the information processing apparatus and reads information on a sheet and a second information reading apparatus which is connectable to one of the information processing apparatus and the first information reading apparatus, and reads information on a sheet. The information processing apparatus comprises a control program including a first driver required to control the first information reading apparatus, and a second driver required to control the second information reading apparatus. Control information from the information processing apparatus to the second information reading apparatus is transmitted via the first driver and the second driver.

SOLUTION: In a print system where a print server, a client terminal and a printing device are connected through a communication line to each other, the print server is provided with a page block generating means which divides a multi-page document where the pages of different sheet sizes coexist into page blocks where pages where the same sheet size continues are defined as one unit.
