PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a three-dimensional image having more natural three-dimensional description without discomfort, from an existent two-dimensional image.SOLUTION: An image processing device comprises: an input unit 11 for inputting a two-dimensional image having a plurality of subjects each including a shadow; an image processing unit 34 and a CPU 29 which extract the subject portions and the shadow portions thereof in the two-dimensional image input by the input unit 11, estimate distances to corresponding subject portions from the positional relations between the plurality of extracted shadow portions, and create images for both the right and left eyes obtained by respectively deviating the subject portions and the shadow portions on the basis of the acquired distances; and projection systems (12 to 28) for projecting the created images for both the right and left eyes.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify labors needed for a user to the minimum and display an object image in a full size. SOLUTION: This projection device comprises an image storage part 43 which picks up an image of a reference object of a known size by image pickup systems 13, 46, 41 and stores the image together with the size information and which stores an image picked up by placing side by side a projection object desired to be projected at full size and the reference object, projection systems 24-31, 12 which project images, and a control part 35 which emits a pair of parallel light with a known interval from laser emission parts 14, 15, picks up planes of projection where the parallel light is reflected by pickup systems 13, 46, 41, calculates the distance from the position of the parallel light in the obtained image to the plane of projection, projects the images of the projection object and the reference object at the obtained distance by the projection systems 24-31, 12, retrieves the reference object in the images obtained by picking up the projection images, computes the zoom magnification for projecting the projection object at full size from the size and the projection distance of the retrieved reference object, and projects the images of the projection object and the reference object at the zoom magnification by the projection systems 24-31, 12.
