Mixed-Kernels Constructions of Polar Codes
TL;DR: Simulation of finite length instances of the proposed mixed-kernels construction scheme indicate their advantages both in error correction performance and complexity compared to the known polar coding structures.

Design of Non-Binary Quasi-Cyclic LDPC Codes by ACE Optimization
TL;DR: An algorithm for constructing Tanner graphs of non- binary irregular quasi-cyclic LDPC codes employs a new method for selection of edge labels allowing control over the code's non-binary ACE spectrum and resulting in low error-floor.

Polar Codes with Mixed-Kernels
TL;DR: A generalization of the polar coding scheme is proposed that exploits several homogeneous kernels over alphabets of different sizes and asymptotic properties of the polarization are shown to be strongly related to the ones of the constituent kernels.

TL;DR: In this article, an algorithm for constructing Tanner graphs of non-binary irregular quasi-cyclic LDPC codes is introduced, which employs a new method for selection of edge labels allowing control over the code's nonbinary ACE spectrum and resulting in low error-floor.
