Characterization of a novel, papain‐inducible murine model of eosinophilic rhinosinusitis
Anuj Tharakan,Alex Dobzanski,Nyall R. London,Syed M. Khalil,Nitya Surya,Andrew P. Lane,Murugappan Ramanathan +6 more
TL;DR: Mice were exposed intranasally to the cysteine protease papain, which shares functional similarities with parasitic proteases and aeroallergens, to generate a rapidly inducible murine model of eosinophilic rhinosinusitis.
Mean platelet volume, thrombocytosis, and survival in non-small cell lung cancer patients treated with first-line pembrolizumab alone or with chemotherapy
Mingjia Li,Songzhu Zhao,Gabrielle Lopez,Austin Secor,Parthib Das,Nitya Surya,Madison Grogan,Sandip H. Patel,K. Chakravarthy,Abdul Miah,Daniel Spakowicz,Gabriel Tinoco,Zihai Li,Lai Wei,Kai He,Erin M. Bertino,Asrar Alahmadi,Regan M. Memmott,Jacob M. Kaufman,Peter G. Shields,David P. Carbone,Carolyn J Presley,Gregory A. Otterson,Dwight H. Owen +23 more
TL;DR: Change in MPV after 1 cycle of pembrolizumab-based treatment was significantly associated with overall survival as well as the occurrence of irAEs in patients with metastatic NSCLC in the first-line setting, and thrombocytosis was associated with poor survival.

1249 Treatment interruptions for immune related adverse events and overall survival in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) treated with first line immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI)
Evelyn G. Goodyear,Songzhu Zhao,Mingjia Li,Yihzen Guo,Gabrielle Lopez,Austin Secor,Parthib Das,Nitya Surya,Marium Husain,Madison Grogan,Daniel Spakowicz,Lai Wei,Kai He,Erin M. TL;DR: In this article , prospective phase 3 trials of anti-PD-1 and anti-CTLA-4 demonstrate durable clinical benefit even in patients who discontinue ICI due to treatment related adverse events.
Airborne Particulate Matter Induces Nonallergic Eosinophilic Sinonasal Inflammation in Mice.
Murugappan Ramanathan,Nyall R. London,Anuj Tharakan,Nitya Surya,Thomas E. Sussan,Xiaoquan Rao,Sandra Y. Lin,Elina Toskala,Sanjay Rajagopalan,Shyam Biswal +9 more
TL;DR: Collectively, although largely observational, these studies demonstrate the destructive effects of chronic airborne PM exposure on the sinonasal airway barrier disruption and nonallergic eosinophilic inflammation in mice.
