RACK1 promotes cancer progression by increasing the M2/M1 macrophage ratio via the NF-κB pathway in oral squamous cell carcinoma.
Hongxia Dan,Sai Liu,Sai Liu,Jiajia Liu,Dongjuan Liu,Dongjuan Liu,Fengying Yin,Zihao Wei,Jiongke Wang,Yu Zhou,Lu Jiang,Ning Ji,Xin Zeng,Jing Li,Qianming Chen +14 more
TL;DR: Results indicate that RACK1 and the M2/M1 ratio are predictors of a poor prognosis in OSCC and could be used as a potential therapeutic target for antitumor immunity.

Dual-functional guanosine-based hydrogel integrating localized delivery and anticancer activities for cancer therapy
Hang Zhao,Hui Feng,Jiang Liu,Fan Tang,Yuqi Du,Ning Ji,Liang Xie,Xuefeng Zhao,Zhiyong Wang,Qianming Chen +9 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that isoGBG hydrogel can serve as a dual-functionHydrogel system integrating drug carrier and anti-cancer compound in one system, which provided a promising strategy for the design of functional supramolecular hydrogels in the local management of cancer in the future.

Self-Assembling Monomeric Nucleoside Molecular Nanoparticles Loaded with 5-FU Enhancing Therapeutic Efficacy against Oral Cancer
Hang Zhao,Hui Feng,Hui Feng,Dongjuan Liu,Jiang Liu,Ning Ji,Fangman Chen,Xiaobo Luo,Yu Zhou,Hongxia Dan,Xin Zeng,Jing Li,Congkui Sun,Jinyu Meng,Xiao-Jie Ju,Min Zhou,Hanshuo Yang,Longjiang Li,Xin-hua Liang,Liang-Yin Chu,Lu Jiang,Yang He,Qianming Chen +22 more
TL;DR: The development of a monomeric self-assembled nucleoside nanoparticle (SNNP) into an efficient drug delivery system which has currently no parallel in such field is reported, indicating that SNNP can efficiently act as a readily accessible, robust, biocompatible and low-toxic nanobiomaterial which may find wide therapeutic applications clinically in the future.

Human Beta-Defensin-1 Suppresses Tumor Migration and Invasion and Is an Independent Predictor for Survival of Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma Patients
Qi Han,Ruinan Wang,Chongkui Sun,Xin Jin,Dongjuan Liu,Xin Zhao,Lili Wang,Ning Ji,Jing Li,Yu Zhou,Ling Ye,Xin-hua Liang,Lu Jiang,Ga Liao,Hongxia Dan,Xin Zeng,Qianming Chen +16 more
TL;DR: Investigation of the role of hBD-1 in the progression of oral squamous cell carcinoma and its potential as diagnostic/prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target for OSCC indicated that h BD-1 suppressed tumor migration and invasion of OSCC and was likely to be a prognostic biomarkers and a potential target for treatment of OS CC.
CAL 27 is an oral adenosquamous carcinoma cell line
TL;DR: Results showed that CAL 27 xenografts grew slowly in vivo with vesicle formation at both the surfaces and deeper areas of the tumors, and appears to be an oral adenosquamous carcinoma cell line.
