Understanding vegetation structures in green spaces to regulate atmospheric particulate matter and negative air ions
TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors analyzed the influences of various green space types and structures on PM 10 , PM 2.5 , and NAI, and found that green spaces had significantly lower PM 10 and PM2.5 and higher NAI concentrations than non-green spaces.

- 01 Sep 2022
TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors used a wind tunnel to measure particle resuspension from leaf surfaces at different wind speeds (1, 2, 3 m/s) and test duration (10, 20, 30 min).

Suitability Assessment of Six Tree Species through Combined Analysis of PM2.5 Capture Ability and Air Pollution Tolerance Index for Urban Green Belt
TL;DR: The PM2.5 capture ability and air pollution tolerance index (APTI) of six tree species are assessed in this study. The results suggest that different plant species and sites can significantly affect PM2.5 capture ability. Robinia pseudoacacia has the highest APTI value and is identified as the most resilient plant at all three sites.
