Assessing the accuracy of GIS-based elementary multi criteria decision analysis as a spatial prediction tool – A case of predicting potential zones of sustainable groundwater resources
TL;DR: It was established in the study that the GIS-based elementary MCDA technique is capable of producing accurate and reliable prediction particularly if the set of criteria use for the prediction is coherent.

Groundwater detection in alluvium using 2-d electrical resistivity tomography (ERT)
TL;DR: In this article, a 2D electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) has been employed together with drilling for determination of resistivity value of alluvium and the effect of groundwater.

Application of Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis to Geoelectric and Geologic Parameters for Spatial Prediction of Groundwater Resources Potential and Aquifer Evaluation
TL;DR: In this paper, the principle of multi-criteria decision analysis in the context of the analytical hierarchy process is proposed as a technique that can yield a prediction model of higher reliability and precision.

Mineralogy and geochemistry of Palaeozoic black shales from Peninsular Malaysia: Implications for their origin and maturation
TL;DR: In this article, the authors report nineteen Palaeozoic formations in Malaysia that contain black shales that are classified into seven categories based on their age: the Cambrian-Ordovician, Ordovician-Devonian, Silurian-devonian, Devonian, Carboniferous-Permian and Permian black shale.

Geo-electrical investigation of near surface conductive structures suitable for groundwater accumulation in a resistive crystalline basement environment: A case study of Isuada, southwestern Nigeria
TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented a geophysical surveying for groundwater identification in a resistive crystalline basement hard rock in Isuada area, Southwestern Nigeria, using very low frequency (VLF) electromagnetic and electrical resistivity geophysical techniques combined with well log were used to characterize the concealed near surface conductive structures suitable for groundwater accumulation.
