Recognition by human V gamma 9/V delta 2 T cells of a GroEL homolog on Daudi Burkitt's lymphoma cells
Paul Fisch,Miroslav Malkovsky,Susan Kovats,Els Sturm,Erik Braakman,Bruce S. Klein,Stephan D. Voss,Lawrence W. Morrissey,Robert DeMars,William J. Welch,R. L. H. Bolhuis,Paul M. Sondel +11 more
TL;DR: Stimulation of human V gamma 9/V delta 2 T cells is not restricted by human leukocyte antigens (HLA), including nonpolymorphic beta 2-microglobulin (beta 2M)-associated class Ib molecules.

Gamma/delta T cell clones and natural killer cell clones mediate distinct patterns of non-major histocompatibility complex-restricted cytolysis.
Paul Fisch,Miroslav Malkovsky,E. Braakman,Els Sturm,R. L. H. Bolhuis,A. Prieve,Jeffrey A. Sosman,V. A. Lam,Paul M. Sondel +8 more
TL;DR: It is found that TCR-gamma/delta-1+, delta TSC1-, BB3+, Ti gamma A+ T cell clones mediate a characteristic cytolytic pattern of non-MHC-restricted cytoleysis that is markedly different from NK clones and alpha/beta T cell clone derived from the peripheral blood of the same normal individuals.
Cutting Edge: TGF-β1 and IL-15 Induce FOXP3 + γδ Regulatory T Cells in the Presence of Antigen Stimulation
Rita Casetti,Chiara Agrati,Marianne Wallace,Alessandra Sacchi,Federico Martini,Angelo Martino,Alessandra Rinaldi,Miroslav Malkovsky +7 more
TL;DR: It is reported that γδ T lymphocytes with regulatory functions (Vδ2 Tregs) are induced in vitro in the presence of specific Ag stimulation and cytokines (TGF-β1 and IL-15) and suppress the proliferation of anti-CD3/anti-CD28 stimulated-PBMC.
The role of dendritic cells in the initiation of immune responses to contact sensitizers. I. In vivo exposure to antigen.
TL;DR: 1 day after skin painting mice, there were dendritic cells in the draining lymph nodes which were able both to initiate primary stimulation of lymphocytes in vitro and to sensitize recipient mice to give specific delayed hypersensitivity reactions.

Hsp72-mediated augmentation of MHC class I surface expression and endogenous antigen presentation
TL;DR: It is found that stably transfected clones of B16 which constitutively express the human heat shock protein 72 (Hsp72) exhibit significantly increased levels of MHC class I antigens on their surface, which represents an increase in the amount of functional MHC-peptide complexes.
