Endodermal Nodal-related signals and mesoderm induction in Xenopus.
TL;DR: It is shown that Cer-S blocks the induction of both dorsal and ventral mesoderm in animal-vegetal Nieuwkoop-type recombinants, which supports a modified model for Mesoderm induction in Xenopus, which is mediated by a gradient of multiple Nodal-related signals released by endoderm at the blastula stage.

The establishment of spemann's organizer and patterning of the vertebrate embryo
TL;DR: New models for the regulation of cell–cell signalling during development are led to, which may also apply to the homeostasis of adult tissues.
The pro-BMP activity of Twisted gastrulation is independent of BMP binding.

TL;DR: The results suggest that xTsg interacts with additional CR-containing proteins that regulate dorsoventral development in embryos, and could block the anti-BMP activity of isolated BMP-binding modules of Chordin in embryonic assays.
Molecular mechanisms of cell-cell signaling by the Spemann-Mangold organizer.

TL;DR: The study of the BMP-binding repeats of Chordin may provide a new paradigm for how cell-cell signaling is regulated in the extracellular space not only in embryos, but also in adult tissues.

TL;DR: This work suggests characterising ‘real-life’ chemical mixtures and determining to what extent they are transferred from the environment to humans via food and water, and from the mother to the foetus, to form the basis of the Green Deal project PANORAMIX, whose ultimate goal is to progress mixture risk assessment of chemicals.
